Reflection and Gratitude
The holidays are a great time to reflect on where we have been, and where we are going. As we prepare to conclude our 70th year in the industry, we look back fondly on many cherished memories and look forward to the next 70.
The Road So Far
Thanks to support from you, our friends and family, we have survived through some tough times together. Our close-knit sailing community is truly a blessing that has enabled us to continue to grow and improve.
John O'Donnell, owner of W.D.Schock Corp. for the past two years, has brought about some exciting changes.
This year, we moved to a new facility in Perris, CA. With nearly 8 acres and 65,000 sqft of building space, we will have plenty of space to grow. It has been a long process, but we thank all of you for your continued patience through our growing pains.
We are now located at
364 Malbert St.
Perris, CA 92570
We are planning to bring back beloved legacy models such as the Santana 20. New boats brings in fresh blood to help this popular class continue to thrive. This is possible thanks to dedicated work stations and state of the art equipment, which will be a huge boost to production. We will also be hiring and training new craftsmen to handle the extra workload of an ever-increasing demand for Schock boats.
Harbor 20s continue to spread in 2016. We are happy to welcome two new dealers, Daysail, USA in Michigan and Mayer's Yachts in New Orleans.
Mike Mayers of Mayer's Yachts has been working to grow the budding fleet on Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans. This fleet sails out of Southern Yacht Club and has already kicked off with a few first-class One Design regattas. Spark plug, Al Salzer is an amazing host and really knows how to energize a fleet.
Our Florida fleet is very excited to be welcoming 5 more boats to their 10 boat fleet. This year was the first time Florida sailed for the East Team in the renowned East v. West Regatta, held in beautiful Newport Beach. They have been very active with several regattas every week and are seeing terrific growth.
The Road Ahead
As we gather with our friends and family over the holidays, we are filled with hope and cheer for the upcoming years. Energized by our passion and strengthened by your continued support, our next chapter is a promising one.
We are deeply humbled by the stories and experiences you have shared with us over the years. Every year we get calls and emails from a long time Lido sailor, new Santana owners freshly initiated into the class, grandparents looking to teach grandchildren to sail, and so much more. Sailors tell us how much our boats mean to them, how sailing has made them a better person, and how they love spending time with their fleet family. We are delighted to bring people together over the joy of sailing.
Our job is building boats, but our passion is building experiences.
