Canting Ballast System
- Ballast bulb 1800 lbs. cast lead
- Ballast strut is 17.4 stainless steel
- Canting system is a low maintenance 12-volt electric motor driven by a hydraulic system
- Ballast control buttons mounted in the cockpit
- Ballast position indicator located on the port aft cabin bulkhead
- The stainless steel strut has a fiberglass fairing that is tank tested for hydraulic
optimization
- Lead ballast bulb cants up to 55 degrees from centerline
- The lead ballast bulb is removable for tailoring
Twin Foil Steering System
- Fast and simple twin-foil design
- Collective and cyclic control to maintain synchronization of the twin foils for reduced
leeway and low drag
- Foil configuration features improved wave making performance and broach resistant
- Rear foil has a push-pull attachment to the tiller for firm control
- Forward foil controlled by custom pull-pull system
- Each high aspect-ratio foil was wind tunnel tested to confirm high lift low drag computations
for speed
- There is a high strength 17-4 stainless steel strut in each foil for strength
- Stainless steel tiller with tiller extension.
- Harken rudder bearings for both foils and rudder stock
- Kelp windows for the fore and aft foils as well as two kelp window for the center
strut
- All the foils are faired
Deck Hardware
- Molded in toe rail on the foredeck
- Two Harken 44.2STA jib winches
