INTRODUCING THE NEW HARBOR 30 The W. D. Schock Corp. is pleased to introduce the Harbor 30. Like the popular Harbor 20 and Harbor 25, the Harbor 30 was designed by Steven Schock and will be a quintessential daysailor. It has a Hoyt jib boom with roller furling, lazy jacks for the main, and a huge cockpit. The big difference is that the Harbor 30 has a cruising interior. The features and benefits of this exciting design include – Ease of sailing Good stability Low maintenance Good performance Traditional styling Inboard power HULL The hull has a deep mid-section with narrow waterline beam; and the cut water angle is 18 degrees, so the hull will be easily driven. The hull sections have a soft turn at the bilge forward of station six to minimize wetted surface; and aft of station six, the turn at the bilge is harder for an increase in form stability. DECK The deck of the Harbor 30 features a well-designed foredeck, useable weather decks, a wide companionway, and an aft deck with a large lazarette hatch which opens to storage below. All of the sail control lines are lead to the cockpit. COCKPIT The cockpit is large at 7’ 9” and includes pedestal steering. Tall backrests and deep seats make the cockpit especially comfortable. For easy sail handling, the halyards are lead aft to the cockpit and the jib furling line, jibsheets, and mainsheet are lead under deck through tubes and into the cockpit within reach of the helmsman. Singlehanded sailing is a dream! Sailing with inexperienced crew is easy. INBOARD POWER The Harbor 30 is equipped with a 3 cylinder 4 stroke Yanmar diesel with a folding propeller, 60 amp alternator, and fresh water cooling. It is a 20 hp engine and pushes the boat along at about 6.5 knots. INTERIOR Patterned after the interior of the beautiful Harbor 25, the Harbor 30’s interior features interior liners with beaded board detailing, and wood trim. There are 6’ bunks for four adults, a full galley placed aft to starboard side, and an enclosed head aft to port.
